The Alien ALR-8800 Enterprise RFID Reader enables users to deploy manageable, robust, best-in-class RFID across the supply chain. The unit uses an XScale processor running Linux for system and network management and a powerful DSP processor for high-performance Gen 2 RFID protocol capability.

The XScale/Linux system hosts the Alien Reader Protocol and a suite of configuration and remote management functions, enabling fast, scalable implementation. A highly programmable signal processing architecture delivers exceptional execution of the EPC Gen 2 standard, while enabling implementation of future protocols for long-term investment protection.

ALN-9654 “G”


ALN-9654 inlays are World Tag compliant, enabling consistent operation across the diverse frequencies of the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

With its Higgs-3 core, the “G” delivers ultra-high, “best of breed” performance. It is especially well suited for challenging materials with high dielectrics such as plastic and glass (hence the “G” nickname).

Typical applications for the Short include, but are not limited to, corrugate cases, pallet placard labels, apparel hang tags, shipping labels, asset management, fi le folder labels, and application on plastics.

ALR-9800 Enterprise


The ALR-9800 is supported by key RFID platforms including Microsoft BizTalk RFID, IBM WebSphere 6.0, Oat Systems, Oracle, GlobeRanger, BEA and many others. Proven support for SAP through 3rd-party middleware is also available. A well-documented SDK featuring .NET and Java libraries enables easy, custom interfaces to control the reader if desired.

The readers include support for remote fi rmware management and remote monitoring via the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), which enables the network to monitor real-time health, revision and status information from the reader.
